PARADISO
There are concepts that survive time like a rock of quartz, without eroding and without losing their shine. Mainly because that they represent the base of what we call history and without them everything would crumble under our feet. Perhaps the idea of "paradise" is one of the most primitive and essential. This place from where - according to some religions - everything is born. The popular imagination, the literature and art have been charged over the centuries to endow this concept of multiple forms and meanings, nevertheless almost all come together when they define it as a magical place, bucolic and magnificent. A luxuriant and privileged garden.
It is in this sense that "PARADISO" is articulated, alluding to the idea of an imagined and comforting space in which to feel the calm and joy necessary for life. A collective proposal by Galerie Géraldine Banier which aims to offer to the spectator a fresh breath, vital and beautiful and which in a certain way, helps us find the light in these dark times. This beautiful escape serves as a common thread for the dialogue between the artists presented.
Manuèle Bernardi's constellations, suspended from a thread seem to come from the stratosphere. Light and fragile beings who moving above our heads, small floral elements that fall on our faces like swarming from a balcony beyond the clouds. Above from the city, the sound of an incessant beating diverts our gaze: the roofs are colonized by flocks of birds from VytautasTomaševičius which modify the landscape and announce new changes, new unforeseen directions for which there is no card. Stealthily, animals of a noble nature advance on the grass; their movements bring us closer to the mystic particular of the works of Laurence Le Constant and remind us that everything is as true as it is ephemeral. Branches of a fruit tree, the colors are spread over the earth in the works of Manu Muñoz. The new worlds for old dreams. Paradise between the beginning and the end.
